The initial vision of IMI was to be one of the top Swiss Hotel Schools with a worldwide reputation. The facilities are the illustration of the IMI 's vision , to deliver the maximum added value to the stakeholders. First to maintain partcipative learning and personal developmen, IMI limits the students recruitment to a maximum of 200 students per intake. Located in a heart of switzerland , the facilities the best that tourism students may expect from a high quality school. The access to the most advanced information is insured by wireless internet access, high performing intranet system, and library which proposed thousands of books, publication and magazine about the most advanced tools, trend and methods in business and hospitality management. The access to practical teaching is insured by the IMI's demonstration and production kitchens, spacious and well-equipped classrooms, restaurants. To maintain a human sized and student-oriented philosophy, IMI is a full boarding schools with accomodation and cantine. Class Organization
IMI focuses its education on two majors objectives: professionalism and customization. That is why teaching method will be oriented to groupwork, case study, workshop where students will get efficient knowledge about hospitality management. To maintain high valuable education, teachers and professors will also receive frequent updates about their field of expertise. IMI provide professional facilities where students will practice their theory about catering, cooking and others activities and will be assessed IMI teachers and students and professionals.
Teaching methods
To reach the top, start at the top, the IMI philosophy is to get the excellence. In tourism industry, the excellence will widely come from practicing and professional experience. Consequently, IMI proposes 1 or 2 semesters of paid practical training. We remind that the students will be received at least gross salary of 2000 CHF.
Additional Services
IMI will propose to each student, a customized coaching to help them to define their professional career. To facilitate the professional integration of the students, IMI will propose on-campus recruitment where huge MNE will recruit IMI students.
IMI as an innovator, oftenly launch new programs such as Certificate in Food and Beverage Operations Management which answer to the needs of the industry.
